Band Bio

Taff – Lead Guitar and backing vocals

A founder member of TWIN LIZZY back in 1996, Taff played in a number of Sheffield based bands before forming EASY STREET with John Bownes, Paul Fletcher and Roger Clayton. That was in 1995. Soon after they changed their name to TWIN LIZZY. After leaving the band in 1997 Taff played professionally with several bands including a two and a half year stint playing lead guitar with LIMEHOUSE LIZZY

Steve T – Lead Guitar and backing vocals

Steve is another Sheffield based musician. He has been pals with Taff and Roger C for many years. Coincidentally at the age of 14  during school lunch breaks, Steve and John Bownes started teaching themselves to play guitar together in Steve's mum's kitchen. Steve spent several years with Sheffield based original rock band TOKYO who built up a very good reputation for themselves in the early 1980's. Remember them ?

Roger – Bass and Lead Vocals

Roger has been playing in bands since his school days, covering genre's of music from rock to reggae and pop to punk. he has been a huge Thin Lizzy fan since the early 1970's and has not only had the pleasure of seeing them live on several occasions but also meeting the great man himself. Phillip Lynott was and still is the biggest influence on Roger's musical career. He is such a fanatic for the band that he even has a tattoo of the Black Rose logo on his left arm.

Roger was a founder member of the northwest Thin Lizzy tribute band RENEGADE. During the six years he was with that band he had the pleasure of playing in front of and meeting Philomena Lynott on several occasions and also supported the Eric Bell band in May 2006. It has often been said by many people on many occasions that Roger's singing is the closest thing to Phil Lynott's vocals that they have ever heard. Come along and hear for yourself.

Steve W – Drums

Steve Has been playing drums for 20 years. He started out playing his mums old pots, pans and wooden spoons. These days however, his pride and joy is a Ludwig Rock Star Chrome kit which includes an original Black Beauty snare. This kit once belonged to Roger Taylor of Queen. For choice this is the kit he usually gigs with but for smaller venues he uses a red Pearl Export.

Steve has played with many bands including The Solicitors, Fasker (ex Saxon), The Snap, Easy Street and The Deal. Most recently he played with the Harry Coffey Band. Over the years he has supported The Pulp, Therapy and Eric Bell.

His musical influences are many and varied but his true love is rock. Steve's favourite drummers include Roger Taylor (Queen), Brian Downey (Thin Lizzy), Ian Paice (Deep Purple) and Neil Peart (Rush).

Behind The Scenes

Graham Needham

Graham is a long time pal of Taff and has been involved with TWIN LIZZY for a long time. He's to be seen at most gigs erecting the PA or wiring the lighting rig. Also drives the van and is very good at escorting young ladies from the stage :-)

Tony Rudge

Tony is a massive THIN LIZZY fan. At gigs you will see him working at the mixing desk. He's a real VIP. responsible for the overall sound of the band on the night. Remember ( as the lads tell him ) if it's a good gig it's because we played so well, if it's a bad gig it's his fault.  :-)

Steve Histon

Steve is the man that looks after this website and along with Steve T takes care of all things technical. In addition to this he's also a dab hand with a welding torch. This is very useful when making drum riser's, lighting framework and heavy duty locks for Rogers wallet. :-)

Terry Leen

Thanks also to Terry for all his great photo's. Cheers mate. :-)
